Self-Care Series (2020)

As a an art therapist and counselor, I see how art making acts as a natural catharsis both with my clients and in my personal work.

During the height of the pandemic creating art became a solace and escape from the chaos and panic all around me. With stressors coming from all sides, I spent a lot of time reflecting on my self-care and what it means. Self-care is not something to simply check off a to-do list. Self-care can be whatever feels right in the moment and helps us feel ready to engage in our lives authentically and fully.
